Beth Hart – the GRAMMY nominated singer and songwriter with a voice “reminiscent of Etta James and Janis Joplin” (Music Connection) – will perform at NYC’s The Town Hall on Friday, February 26th, 2016 in what will be her biggest NYC performance to-date. The show will follow a European tour and a performance at the legendary Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
Watch Hart’s tribute to Buddy Guy at the Kennedy Center Honors, which received one of the only standing ovations of the evening from President Obama.
Known for her visceral, soul-baring vocals and dynamic range, Hart is recognized around the world as one of the great live vocalists of our time, selling out venues in New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris, Berlin, Milan, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, and more. She has performed and recorded with Jeff Beck, Slash, Joe Bonamassa, and Buddy Guy, topped Billboard’s Blues Album Chart, and been nominated for Grammy and Blues Music Awards.
Hart’s latest album ‘Better Than Home’ (Mascot Label Group / Provogue Records) is her most introspective and compelling offering yet, inspired by intense periods of struggle in her life, from the loss of her sister to AIDS, to drug use and family strife, to an eventual bipolar diagnosis that was both frightening and liberating.
Watch Hart record her new song “Tell ‘Em To Hold On” in-studio.
